knitting fun

last night I watched a pretty exciting football game on tv.

the first half was slow and to tell you the truth I almost clicked it off but then a completely different team emerged from the locker room for the second half of the game. after being down 20 points in the first half Green Bay scored 34 points in the second half and beat Dallas by one point!

when a game is that exciting it can be hard to concentrate on knitting while watching. and sometimes my knitting will get very tight when the game gets tense. so I couldn’t work on the current pair of socks and instead worked on fuzzy short rows.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAthis is lusciously soft, fuzzy angora yarn from France worked on Celtic Swan double point sock needles. Pure Luxury!!!

Me too. Football and knitting go together, one of my favorite things to do. And that was a great game! I’m working on Abigail Hoods for every female I know. I’m using skeins of 3IG Springvale Bulky/100% super wash. It’s soft as cotton and these are one of a kind multi color. I had to amend the pattern as these skeins only have 98yds. Shortened up brim by 2 rows and body by 2 rows stopped after row 2 of lace pattern repeat. Have 1 or 2 yds left each time:o) I enjoy your posts.
