thats right this sock is my new soul mate. I am just zipping along. the pink yarn is marking my space for the after-thunk heel and I am about to embark on the less is more toe shaping.

if it looks like there is a lot of knitting going on well that’s because there is. I am not going to go on about the weather other than to show you a picture of what I look like on my morning walk.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMeva can’t get enough of the great outdoors and is enjoying herself immensely. she really doesn’t understand what the big deal is and why I keep making her come inside.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

She really is a beautiful dog, just right with her heavy winter fur, for this cold weather. Our Bella although a rather big dog at 65 lbs. barely could stay out long enough to do her business before she was dancing around holding one foot up after another because they hurt. As long as the temp stays above 0 she can handle it, even though she doesn’t grow a second coat for winter.
    Love your socks.

Thanks Meva is a beauty and she knows it ; )
she has a pile of snow on the deck where she watches the world go by with her paws crossed regally in front of her. she is a queen. and she loves the cold it doesn’t faze her. in fact I think she looks at me and wonders why I make such a fuss pulling on all kinds of warm clothes before heading outside.

Super ! I assume your pattern is a slip stitch pattern then? Love your socks, would love the pattern. The wide toe, looks just right for my hubby.
Finally above zero here in Elkhorn, WI. And sunny ! it feels great. Still using wood stove to help heat the house though. Can’t imagine what the gas bill would be like without it. Feel sorry for all the folks who haven’t any alternative heat during this polar freeze. Can’t wait for your sock pattern.
